It was another near-flawless performance from the Filipino-American Symphony Orchestra last Saturday night at the Rock Church in Point Loma. I am certain all of our fellow Kawitenos who attended would atest to the professional quality of music produced.

Thanks to Auntie Zeny Ravelo and the Aguinaldo Foundation for hosting the 112th Philippine Independence Day Festival held in Mira Mesa last Saturday, June 12th. Thanks to Jerico Aguinaldo, James Samaniego, Raybo Napalan, Archie Santos, Adrian and Andrew Aguinaldo Edquid for presenting the Philippine flag in katipunero style!

Big Turn Out for Fundraiser Kick-off

The fundraising effort for the Kawit Medical Camp in the upcoming PVIMM misson is off to a great start. It was a dual purpose celebration, one for the kick-off of the Kawit medical mssion and the other, the birthday of our association president, Emilie Aguinaldo Edquid.

Humanitarian Medical Mission

The Kawitenos of Southern California will be joining the Paradise Valley Medical Mission group in a humanitarian medical mission in the Philippines. Scheduled for October of this year, the group will visit four provinces in the Philippines which include Pangasinan, Bulacan, Antipolo and Kawit, Cavite to provide free check ups and dental care to the poor.
