Humanitarian Medical Mission
The Kawitenos of Southern California will be joining the Paradise Valley Medical Mission group in a humanitarian medical mission in the Philippines. Scheduled for October of this year, the group will visit four provinces in the Philippines which include Pangasinan, Bulacan, Antipolo and Kawit, Cavite to provide free check ups and dental care to the poor.
At least seven or eight doctors, two pharmacists, a number of registered nurses, dentists and some members of PVI and kSC will be joining in this effort to reach out to our kababayans back home. Local doctors, dentists, medical team and volunteers will also be on each camp to assist in this project. The group aims to distribute vitamins for the adults and kids, medicines for those suffering from diabetes, heart problems, hypertension and other illnesses. They will also aid in de-worming the children.
The Paradise Valley Medical Mission Inc. was founded by Dr. Eduardo Manaig in 1994. Its objective is to help the needy in different parts of the world especially the Philippines. For 15 years, the officers and members of this nonprofit organization have traveled to many countries to extend a helping hand. PVI usually do charity works outside the United States. It currently has 100 members.
