Our association will be continuing its involvement with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)/EITC program.  In collaboration with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Mabuhay Alliance, our certified volunteers will be offering FREE basic tax preparation and filing to the public who have low to moderate income.  Achieving last year’s goal of applicants served, we look this year to exceed that number.  You can help.

Maytinis is a longtime Christmas tradition carried over from Kawit, Cavite.  For the 37^th successive year, the Kawiteños of Southern California provided an evening full entertainment and fellowship, culminating with the reenactment of the Christmas Nativity.  Turnout was high despite the inclement weather and one can say the pouring of rain is indicative of the blessings showered upon us celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
